Lizzie got her expander out! She was pretty nervous that it would hurt a lot. Brett had a terrible experience where his just wouldn't come out and Alanas took a few minutes and was painful. Lizzie was super brave but also scared it would be hard to get out. It came out in less than a minute and didn't hurt! She was so grateful. She was also still able to produce her R sound when it came out and we were so excited! Her speech teacher tested her articulation later that day and she passed with 100%! She has now graduated from speech and we are so grateful for such an amazing miracle!
Brett invited his friend Lilly to come to Homecoming with him. He asked her at the stake dance and then did the official asking later. He made some crochet bees and did a cute sign that said: "Lilly, it'd be sweet to go to HOCO with you, would you buzz there with me?" Right after he asked her we got an email from administration saying that students could only bring guests who were in 10-12 grade. Lilly is in 9th grade and homeschooled. I sent an email and so did Brett. They were both bummed but decided they could still go to the stake dance that night and it would be ok. Brett ended up hearing back that they had adjusted the ages to allow 9th graders to come. He did need to get a permission form filled out by her and she was supposed to bring id to identify herself. She doesn't have id yet, so her mom called the vice principal and Lilly's mom sent a picture of her so that she could get into the dance. We were so glad it all worked out. They had a fun group hangout activity with snacks and games. Brett invited Alana and Lizzie and Lilly invited her two younger sisters and best friend Hannah. Sean and I made a fancy spaghetti dinner and served them dinner. Then they went to get ready. Lilly and her mom came to our house right before the dance and we got some good pictures, then Sean drove them to the dance at the high school. They hung out with their friends Caiden and Caddee while there and then I picked them up. It was a fun experience all around and the biggest complaint was that there wasn't enough slow dances.

I met up with my old college roommate Megan for dinner. Our friend Whitney was supposed to come too, but she got stuck in traffic. Megan and I had a great time and a great meal! We immediately made plans to meet up with Whitney soon! We went to a restaurant called Sol Agave with fancy mexican food. It was really yummy! I had a chicken, raspberry, sweet potato dish.
Lizzie likes to go to the park after school each day. Usually she plays with friends until I am able to come grab her. On Monday's her friend has piano lessons, so Lizzie was just waiting for me reading a book in the swing one day and it was really cute!
The Ford's hosted their annual Harry Potter party. We all dressed up and had a great time visiting and doing trivia!
Sean's costume was fantastic! He mades a great Gildaroy Lockheart. I went as Hermione, Alana was Belatrix, Lizzie was Luna Lovegood, and Brett was a Ravenclaw student.
The Saffrons came for a few hours one Saturday and we took Oreo to the park to play fetch. He kept laying in the puddle of water to cool off, lol!
Granger hosted a fun Boo Lights event at Hogle Zoo. We had a fun time eating food then exploring the zoo. It was fun to be there at night, but a lot of the animals were very sleepy. We tried to do a selfie on the train with one of Sean's coworkers, but it didn't really work out.
Lizzie bought a new elephant stuffed animal because she couldn't find her other one. As soon as we got home, she found it and she and Alana arranged to have a wedding ceremony.
