We arose early Friday morning to an uncharacteristically rainy day. Sean had a piano lesson, which included some playing and teaching, and much more enjoyable conversation. Lynn Lamb is by far the coolest piano teacher in the universe!
That afternoon it dried off and Brandon and Michal came to visit so we decided to go to Disneyland! Just kidding, we went to Bandelier:
Then Saturday we got to go to Jennie's favorite place in all of Albuquerque, and one of solemn reminiscence on Sean's part. That's right, we refer to the great Albuquerque Zoo, the infamous locale of flamingos,
polar bears,
and empty stages where once sat a young pianist, who, along with an orchestra and some very loud ducks and swans, serenaded a crowd one fateful Mother's Day so many many years ago...
Alas, we returned home Sunday night after a long a perilous journey where our i-pod was completely dead and thus we were forced to use those ancient devices known as compact disks.
Monday has brought a joyful mixture of long-awaited excitement and incomprehensable overwhelmtion. That's right folks, back to school night! The parents just kept coming and Jennie kept talking until she was exhausted! The kids are cute and the classes seem to be about 25 each, at least they were today, who knows how many more kids will register tomorrow?
In other joyful news, Sean and Jennie will officially become Uncle Sean and Aunt Jennie tomorrow as Sam delivers Kaitlyn tomorrow. Did I mention Kaity will be born tomorrow, yes I mean Tuesday which is tomorrow!

Well you have been Aunt and Uncle for a while it just wasn't this official!
ReplyDeleteYou guys are hysterical and I think you're amazing.
ReplyDeleteJennie: You're a REAL TEACHER! This is wild.
It looks like you both had fun! I'm sure you'll love being an aunt and uncle! Congrats.
ReplyDeleteGlad you guys had a fun time, so did we! Don't forget the celestial thrills and chills the high clear mountain night air had to offer, too. We're looking forward to our next chance to get together again!
