Balloons, Ristra's, and Pumpkin Pancakes

Our good friend Allie once made us pumpkin waffles with pumpkin syrup for General Conference, so when we realized what weekend this was Sean requested some pumpkinny goodness. I purchased some pumpkin on Monday and made some pumpkin chocolate chip cookies which were delightful! They were intended to go to the families that Sean home teaches, but alas they hung around our house far to long.
Saturday morning we woke up early and put Brett in his stroller and walked down to the Bike path that Sean uses every day. The Balloon Fiesta Mass Ascension started at 7 and we got to see balloons from the path about 7:30. It was really cool!

We came home and made some delicious pumpkin pancakes and buttermilk syrup, it was heavenly!! Then with happy tummies we watched conference. We went to a convert baptism between sessions and then had a different new convert over for the afternoon session. It was so great to listen to so many inspired talks.

While we prepared and ate our pancakes, Brett sat in his bouncy chair and smiled and stared at our cabinet door in his cute dino pj’s.

Also, did you know that going out for ice cream after the priesthood session is a much less complicated activity in Albuquerque!
