Ladybugs and Snowmen

Brett got a package from my parents last week for valentines day. He hasn’t wanted to take off this Mickey jacket since =)

He also got a bag of m&m’s which he was very very excited about! Recent phrases that make us giggle: “strawberry carparts” (no idea where this came from or what it means),” that is not my problem” (I don’t say this so i’m also not sure where this one came from), “use your core!” (during T25)

Alana also got a valentine package with some new clothes. They are very cute and will look adorable in a couple weeks when they fit. There was one pair of lady bug pjs that fit, but the picture is on my phone. She is a cutie though and wore this little hand-me-down from my niece Kaity on Sunday. She looked adorable (especially with the little lady bug bow to match-thanks Sam C!)

Sean’s mom and dad came to stay last weekend and we all had a lot of fun visiting and laughing. Brett especially loved having his grandparents come sleep over. They even watched the kids while Sean and I had an early Valentines date to Taj Mahal for some delicious Indian food. After our delectable lunch we went to Toys R Us to pick out Valentine gifts for the kids. It was so fun to walk around and see all the fun toys.

Alana thought her Papa was so funny and gave him lots of smiles:

Here is another cute bow by Sam C and you can see her little hair starting to grow back in:

I feel like this expression encompasses how Lana sometimes feels when she is being “Loved” by her older brother.

Pretty sure this smile was for him though =)

When my parents got us our Ninja blender for Christmas, my mom told me we should make snowmen so last night we tried it out for FHE:

The snow was really really cold, I guess I shouldn’t have been so surprised since I took the ice out of the freezer to make it =) We couldn’t get the m&m’s to stick to the head so Brett decided on toes.

Then the toes started to melt and it looked like the snowman was bleeding:

My sister had this idea to put out mailboxes and write notes to each other for February. Brett loves his mailbox and LOVES checking it several times a day.

It actually did snow in Albuquerque last week and we had a great time playing in it. The snow was too dry to build a snowman =(

I don’t know what he is doing here, but he looks very cute, you can also see the window clings in the background put up by Brett.

Showing off his new car he earned by staying in bed and taking good naps for a week. The Early Childhood Educator in me says to use intrinsic motivation and the mommy in me says when intrinsic doesn’t work use extrinsic!

This cutie likes a binkie every now and then=) IMG_1038-2014-02-11-13-10.JPG
