October Part 2

Loving her little ponytail, which is good because she has finally gotten really good at pulling off her headbands =)

Here is Sean at the poster presentation before his scholarship dinner. He spoke at this event and did a fantastic job at thanking all the donors and speaking about what a gift it is to have dreams and to be able to see those dreams be fulfilled. The dinner was also really delicious and sadly Sean’s speech was in the middle so he didn’t get to finish his steak, our waiter was also hilarious and made the whole evening very enjoyable:

That ponytail again!

Okay so last year we tried to go to a balloon glow and we got stuck in traffic and arrived right after all the balloons went down. Two years before we went with Brando and Michal and it was too windy so the balloons were down. This year we decided to walk to the park to avoid traffic. We knew the weather was iffy but decided to go anyway. We walked for an hour to get there but it was really enjoyable with friends. When we arrived this is what the field looked like, so sad! No balloons again!

I had bought donuts earlier in the day and so decided to pull them out to eat while we waited for the firework show. I looked in the bag and realized I had brought a bag of bagels instead! Luckily we were right in front of a hot donut vendor so I forked over the 5 bucks for the delicious bag of goodness. Brett was happy. Alana thought we were crazy but loved it all the same. The firework show was great! I ended up with 25000 steps on my fitbit that night (over 10 miles!)

Poor guy collapsed in the stroller on the walk home and had nowhere to rest his head:

She fell asleep for most of the ride home but when we stopped to get in the car she popped right up. Luckily she went right to sleep when we got home.
