I made Brian, Jill, an Xander pajama pants for Christmas and they wore them Christmas Eve =)
Brett and Alana drew pictures and messages to Santa on their white board. I think it says "we drawed this for you Santa". So cute! The next morning when they woke up, the first thing they noticed was a note from Santa on the board that said thank you for the drawing and a large chocolate Santa. Brett also had a large stuffed penguin in his bed and Alana had a new blanket on her with unicorns on it! Lizzie had a doll and a chocolate Santa by her bed, she didn't really care about the doll but loved the chocolate. Santa also wrote a little note to each of the kids pointing out some of the great things they've done this year. When I woke up I just laid in bed and listened to the kids surprised reactions and loved the huge "Thank You Santa" from Brett as he discovered each little surprise.
The last few years we've had a donut picnic before opening gifts, but this year we didn't want the donuts to go stale since we wouldn't buy them on Sunday. The kids had some yogurt and cereal, but mostly chocolate before we headed down stairs.
Santa brought fort building kits and even built a fort to put the rest of the gifts in. Brett, Alana, and Lizzie were all so excited to see what surprises there were! Santa brought Brett a remote control car and a remote control dog and some books and gum in his stocking. Santa brought Alana a remote control unicorn, a magnidoodle, and an Elsa wand that sings let it go. Santa brought Lizzie a play kitchen and some baby dolls and a remote control dog.
The kids loved discovering all the fun presents under the tree. We gave Lizzie a little microwave and a push popper thing. We gave Brett and Alana their very own Kindles, they were so surprised and excited!
Grandma and Grandpa arrived just after we got downstairs and enjoyed opening a few gifts but mostly watching the kids. We gave my dad an app controlled R2D2, which he got working right away! Sean made me a book of the first two years of our blog! It was the most thoughful and meaningful gift. We were all very spoiled. We all got gifts from Grandma and Grandpa, Papa and Mimi, and Neil and Rebecca!
Lizzie very much enjoyed her blue candycane!
My mom hand quilted beautiful quilts for all of us. We were all thrilled and immediately snuggled in under them.
The kids rebuilt the fort, then had a picnic lunch inside while watching Brett's kindle.

Papa and Mimi came in the afternoon to play and then have some dinner.
We had a baked potato bar with lots of yummy toppings! The kids mostly ate treats and they were so happy! All the grandparents went home after dinner and then the Saffrons came over and had some dinner, then stayed for games.
They played with tons of their toys and enjoyed exploring their kindles.
Sean had the 26th off as well and we spent the day playing together
We tried out our new eye found it game from Santa
On Wednesday we went to the Museum of Curiosity with Kaden and Lexi.
The kids had a lot of fun exploring new games and toys.
Santa brought some fun little eggs to Brett and Alana that they could hatch in water.
Grandma got Brett a nice new jacket.
On Thursday I took some photos of the Harrison family in Provo and Papa and Mimi watched the kids for me. Lizzie didn't even cry when I left! I was so pleased with the way the photos turned out! We cleaned and packed and played with neighbors the rest of the afternoon and then on Friday we left for Boise.
