The Zoo Fieldtrip, Spring Break, and Easter

April was a super busy month for us! Starting with General Conference and Lizzie's birthday and then going straight into Easter and Spring Break. Before Spring Break, Brett's class went on a field Trip to the zoo. I volunteered to chaperone and was even able to get my fingerprints cleared in time which was a relief! Unfortunately I started to get a nasty cold that week. I was luckily still doing ok the day of the field trip but quickly went downhill after that! It was pretty cold and drizzly, but we all had fun and the kids were very excited when I snuck them onto the carousel with my pass.

Spring Break came the next week and I tried to pack it full of lots of fun! On Monday we went to the Planetarium. Unfortunately, there was tons of field trips there and the play space was overran with teenagers. We kept good attitudes though and still had a lot of fun! I bought the kids rock candy and little bags filled with shiny rocks and we saw a fun cartoon in the dome theater.

On Tuesday we went to the Museum of Curiosity with our neighbors the Ellis family. We had a lot of fun and the kids were pretty independent.

On Wednesday Sean was home in the morning and I needed to go down to the Sew Sweet warehouse in Spanish Fork. We had some neighbor boys over for a playdate and the kids all fought like crazy over the swings. Brett was in a rotten mood and was really struggling to share and be kind. It was really frustrating, but when the neighbor boys mom came she told me her son gets in the same kind of moods too and it helped me feel like we aren't so abnormal. The kids all watched the Lego 2 movie while eating popcorn and cheese-its and really enjoyed that.

On Thursday, Sean had the day off and we went to Provo to do some Sealings in the Temple. The kids got to stay with Papa and Mimi and watch movies. In the afternoon we came home and worked in the yard getting the swing set cemented in and the sandbox filled.

On Friday I took the kids to the zoo again. Brett was again in a really crummy mood and the kids just kept fighting! It was actually not a very fun visit at all. We did buy some lunch at the end and enjoyed a good meal together so that was at least something.

Easter was lovely this year! We had a neighborhood Egg hunt on Saturday in the green space behind our house which was very successful! We spent that day eating candy and playing together. On Sunday I invited my friend Melanie and her baby James over as well as Mom and Dad P, Mom and Dad Z, Neil and Rebecca, and Kaden and Lexi over for dinner. We had ham, rolls, au gratin potatoes (made by Mom P), Jello salad (made by Rebecca), salad, and brownie sundaes. It was a really nice meal and everyone had fun visiting and enjoying each other.
Elroy keeps sneaking up to our bedroom or the kids bedroom when he is supposed to e sleeping downstairs =)

yesterday the kids and Sean bought some baked goods to munch on while I did some quick shopping.

This sign looked ominous on the back of a trailer. I took this photo with my new iphone XR. My phone completely died this past Friday so Sean and I took advantage of a BOGO deal and got some new phones.

The girls slept on the top bunk together for half the night last night. Alana slept in our bed for the other half.

Lately Alana doesn't like to just sit and watch shows, she has to draw them

Easter Egg Hunt

Lizzie got into the hunt this year, Sean also ran 10 miles with Neil before the hunt!

Sean's MA Nichole had a birthday so we made her an oreo red velvet cake

Someone in Sean's office photoshpped the doctors into avengers for the new movie. Sean, Dad Z, Mom and Dad P, and Neil went to the movie this past Monday night.

My group at the zoo fieldtrip

These little cats at the zoo were my favorite!

The birds have started treating the stairs as their domain!

We've been reading Harry Potter 4 to Brett and every now and then he chooses to read that instead of the other library books he has. He's been staying up way too late reading, Like HOURS! We think this has contributed to some of his grumpy moods of late.

Alana wanted a pony tail the other day and it looked so so cute. She is doing really well with her clothes and such lately

Lizzie has entered the three's with all the emotions! She cries a lot when things don't go her way!

She got the cold going around our house and just kept falling asleep!

Loved this one of her sleeping on her kindle

We dyed eggs for Easter!

Brett's class wrote me Thank You notes for the zoo filed trip and this was his! Love his humor!

Lizzie fell asleep while we watched Alana at gymnastics

Our swing set needed some major solidifying and Sean did an amazing job at digging down and then cementing it in. It is super solid now!

The zoo

Lizzie bought this giraffe at the zoo with her birthday money

Painting te Easter rolls

Papa bought Alana an Aladin drawing book

Lizzie trying to take a nap on the stairs. I took a picture and then moved her.

We went to the zoo yet again! This time just the girls and me went with my friend BriAnna. It was most enjoyable. Great weather and lots of fun!

The tiger came right up next to us!

Alana pushed Lizzie in the stroller

Brett needed a selfie for a school project

A gorgeous rainbow out our backdoor

Alana learned about safety at school and became officer Alana!

Alana helped me with some minky blankets for work =)

The birds are exploring the couch now!

Lizzie had her first gymnastics class this week!

Lizzie and Alana got to be in the same group
