Oreo is so fascinated by the birds. On a sad note our birds passed away this past month. It was very sudden. I was out with some girlfriends and Sean was home with the kids. He was getting kids ready for bed when he noticed Pecksy had died. He decided to tell the kids. The kids were devastated. Flutter started acting strange shortly after the kids went to bed. She was breathing fast and couldn't walk or fly normal she flew across the room and flew into the window. We got her back in her cage and talked quietly to her while she passed away. Sean and I buried them together on the side of our house. We covered them with millet and said a nice prayer. They had been flying around normally all day, so it was so sudden and sad. The kids were really upset, but it was remarkable the next morning when the kids woke up and we told them that flutter had also passed away that the kids were so peaceful about it. Alana said she though that was good because they could be together and Brett shared that he had a prayer the night before asking Heavenly Father to please bless that Flutter wouldn't die, but he felt Heavenly Father tell him that the bird needed to die. We miss our pretty birds and their beautiful music, but we are grateful for eternal pet families. The girls continue to include in their prayers: "please bless our birdies that they can have a good day in heaven"
Mom and Dad P also brought us this darling painting:
I took the kids to the Walmart right before Veterans Day. While I was waiting in line to get them a pretzel, they colored cards and wrote notes to Veterans.
