On Monday Sean, Brett, Brandon, Michal, Brielle, Eric, and Brian went skiing at sundance. The rest of us tried to go bowling, but the alley was closed and so we visited the bookstore, creamery and the Bean museum. We had a yummy dinner at Rebeccas and then we went over to Mimi's to hear a duet she has been learning with her piano teacher. Brett struggled with so many people and unpredictable schedules, so he and I listened from Mimi's bedroom.
On Tuesday I went home to sew and then we went to lunch at pizza pie cafe while Alana joined Brandon and Michal's family for Tuchanos The kids and Sean went bowling with everyone while I ran back to neil and rebeccas to do my hair for some family pics. After pics we hung out more at Neil and Rebeccas.
On Wednesday morning we hung out with cousins, ate a yummy breakfast and then headed home. We stopped at target and then picked up Oreo from the pet hotel. He was so happy to see us!
On Thursday the kids and I went to Brian and Jills to watch some of Brielle and Lily's Nutcracker performance while Sean headed to work. We returned home and then got ready to go the Luminaria on Thursday night. It was pouring rain and then snow and we were all drenched and cold! But it was so pretty and we especially enjoyed the Light the World exhibit. After we left there, we gathered at Brian and Jills for hot cocoa, cookies and some blessings. Carol requested a priesthood blessing from all her boys. She had them all stand in the circle and she received two separate blessings from Eric and Brandon. She was promised that Dad was doing work on the other side of the veil and that those he was teaching were so grateful for her sacrifice. She was promised comfort through temple service and safety in her home. The Spirit was strong and it was remarkable to see her with her five boys surrounding her.
Another fun thing the boys and their mom did was an escape room=)
Brandon and Michal and Eric and Natalie both left on Friday to go back home, it was so wonderful to be all together!
We had the Saffrons over for New Years Eve as usual and it was a blast. We stayed up late, laughed, ate, and rang in 2022.
