Petersons Never Give Up: May

Brian and Jill sent us this picture of Lucy with a bouquet of dandelions. She is so sweet and we are all pretty obsessed with her!

Goodbye Francesco Tamale! We will miss you! What a great car with so so many memories!

The third grade at our school always does a wax museum. Alana chose to research Albert Einstein and she looked awesome in her costume!

Lizzie let me do this to her hair one day and it was so cute.

Sean and Mom P attended the magic show and fancy dinner. They had a great time.

My parents needed to make some modifications to their pergola to fit with HOA standards. We helped tear parts off and paint.

That same Saturday we wanted to do something fun in the evening so we went to the Butterfly Biosphere and then to get some ice cream. Lizzie is at a stage where she always wants to pose for a picture. Its super fun!

Sean must have smelled sweet because the butterflies kept landing on him.

One of Lizzie's birthday presents was to paint her room. We finally got around to it. The contrast between the purple and yellow was pretty ugly! It makes the purple look really dark. It turned out great though and her bedroom feels so grown up and sweet.

Sean continues to enjoy working at the residency for two mornings a week. He snapped a shot of the new logo.

Every morning Oreo cant wait to wake up Sean. Like 5 AM comes around and Sean really should get up. Sean gets up around ten to six and I get up around 6:10 then we walk oreo usually together. Then Oreo sacks out and has a good nap while we get ready for the day. He always finds the comfiest spots.

My parents went to Southern Utah for a funeral. We got to watch Winston over night. Winston really liked Cookie.

For our anniversary we went to The Melting Pot. It was absolutely delicious! We had a spinach artichoke appetizer. It came with all kinds of yummy dipping things. Our favorite was the green apple.

We each got to pick a salad:

Then we each picked three meats. We had pepper steak, jerk pork, herb chicken, mushroom ravioli, chicken potstickers, and teriyaki steak. They also brought us mushrooms, potatoes, and broccoli and then tons of dipping sauces. They had a little chart to reference how long to cook each type of meat in the boiling broth.

For dessert we got a chocolate peanut butter fondue and our favorite dippers were the Belgian waffles.

14 years has been amazing with Sean by my side!

There have been a lot of storms lately and with them have come so many beautiful and remarkable rainbows.

Brett had his orchestra performance. His teacher, Ali Bytheway was amazing! She taught all these kids with so much love and encouragement. The kids sounded great and Brett looked so handsome! Brett had to go an hour early twice a week and he was very dedicated. If you know Brett, you know waking up early is a huge sacrifice!

Alana did a trial class for gymnastics and loved it. She officially started at the end of May and Lizzie will be starting soon too.

Alana participated in percussion club this year. She learned about rhythm and had fun banging sticks on buckets. She had to go to school 45 min early every Thursday and she was super dedicated!

The new Legend of Zelda game came out and there was so much excitement in our house. We have two switches and ended up buying two copies so that more people could play at a time. Sean even introduced Lizzie to it and now there are 4 people in our family who all want turns =)

I really wanted a fire pit this year. We had fun making s'mores with it!

With the weather finally warming up and the kids wanting to play outside, Oreo is in heaven.

He was sound asleep with this ball in his mouth the other day. It was so funny!

This rainbow was breathtaking!

Brett earned his black striped red belt which is a huge deal! The next belt he earns will be black!

He now stands with the teachers when they bow in and out.

Moving our piano to our main living space has made me so happy. Our kids play so much more music. Alana has been enjoying finding melodies and playing them by ear. She and Brett found the notes to Ode to Joy and did a duet for us.

Brett started allergy shots again and has been having to go twice a week to get 3 shots! He's so brave!

Lizzie learned Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and is working on Jesus Said Love Everyone now.

Our community did a Love Where You Live event where there were free crafts, activities and food trucks.

Brett got to do sparring at Martial Arts and loved it!

Sean went to see a play called Once with his mom at Hale Center:

We went to see Uncle Brett and Grandma and Grandpa Webb for Memorial Day

We went to the Saratoga Springs Open House. It was a beautiful temple and Lizzie asked me on Sunday if we can go back.

The Temple is pretty close to the school that I taught at, so we went to take a picture.

We got our front flowers all planted:

Eric and Natalie came to town and we had some fun cousin time. Alana made friends with Sofia =) We visited Papa's grave and then went to In and Out Burger, then to Dinosaur Island at Thanksgiving Point.

The last week of school was crazy. No school Monday for Memorial Day. Then Lizzie went to the bean museum on Tuesday and Alana went to the Leonardo museum. I didn't go on either field trip because I didn't want to pick so I worked on laminating books for our phonics program. Wednesday was award assemblies day. Brett and Alana both got the Puma Pride and Lizzie got the Golden Paw and the Puma Pride.

Brett built a bridge with some friends in class and then they tested the bridges to see how much weight they could withstand. Brett's team tied with another team for first prize: a king size candy bar.

Thursday was Field Day and then 6th grade clap out:

Brett's teacher Mrs. Murri saved the 6th grade this year. She came in and took a job when we two teachers left. She loved all these kids so much and taught them and made them feel special! She is expecting twin boys =)
