It’s true, Mr. Brett journeyed to the land of Southern California and went to the Happiest Place on Earth. He even brought his parents and both sets of grandparents.
We had a great family vacation! We left on Saturday the 26th and spent two days driving. Brett did great in the car and only broke down as we were driving into Anaheim.
We stopped at the Petrified Forest for lunch and Brett tried on a Ranger hat.
We stopped at In-n-Out in Barstow. Brett really liked the french fries.
All 7 of us shared a suite at the Camelot hotel right across the street from Disneyland. Sean and I shared one of the rooms with Mom and Dad Z and it was FREEZING, seriously I think Mom kept the temperature set at 60! Brett shared with Mom and Dad P, he was over in a corner and we moved a wardrobe to try and section off his space a bit. He actually did a pretty awful job at sleeping which meant we all had a hard time sleeping, but we still had a great time!
Brett’s first ride was Peter Pan, then we went to Dumbo. He mostly thought the rides were weird although I think he really enjoyed watching all the people and being outside all day.

Poor kid was so enthused about seeing everything he wouldn’t lean back to fall asleep!
Bugs Land was a big hit and we spent a long time playing in the water.
We went to World of Color in California Adventure which was AMAZING. Brett slept through the whole thing in Grandpa P’s arms.
Cute boy loved the hotel room. He loved crawling around with his car and thought it was so funny to pull himself up on the beds.
These Storm Troopers would walk around Tomorrowland and even stopped Mom P and gave her a once over one morning.
I believe family photos are always best in Disneyland!

The new Star Tours ride is fantastic! My dad wanted to be the Rebel Spy so badly and Sean told him to just smile the whole time while loading and it worked. Sean and Dad Z got to be the Rebel Spy.
We had a truly wonderful trip! We found a new appreciation for the baby care center(a place for nursing and diaper changing) in both Disneyland and California Adventure and also enjoyed the first aid stations in both parks. Mr. Brett also cut a tooth on Wednesday and is working on another.

Jennie, you are so amazing to get this up so quickly and with so many photos! They really capture the week and how much fun we had--love the one with Brett asleep leaning forward, which he did more than once. Sean taking on a storm trooper, Brett in his mouse hat exploring the things you can touch at Disneyland, and Matt and Peggy enjoying Brett's first encounter with Mickey Mouse. The 3 of you holding hands by the fence in California Adventure--an inspired shot! Thanks for your sharing with us! Gotta love the first aid and baby stations!! mom p
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a great time! Brett is cute in all the pics, but especially with the Park Ranger hat on! ;)
