Eric and Natalie

Sean's oldest brother Eric came to visit from NYC this past weekend.  He brought his girlfriend Natalie who is great, we were so excited to meet her!  We went up the Tram the first day they were here.  It was a really cool trip and I wish it wasn't so expensive so we could do it more often.  The altitude difference is huge and I got a little faint on the way up but recovered well and had a great time exploring once we were up there.  Brett especially loved wondering around.

The fall colors were really gorgeous up there.  It was fun to wear jackets and feel the cold air too=)

We went to Sadie's, one of our favorite local New Mexican restaurants.  Brett already loves Uncle Eric and made quick friends with Natalie.
Sean and I went to see a local theater production of the Hobbit that night while Mom and Dad P and Eric and Natalie watched Brett.  The next day we met them at the Santa Fe plaza where we enjoyed some caramel kettle corn.  We headed up to White Rock, but stopped at Gabriels on the way.  Gabriels has AMAZING guacamole.  We sat outside by a fountain, it was a perfect fall day.
Eric was nice enough to let Sean, Brett, and I steal his room for one night.  It was the first time we have slept in the same room as Brett since we went to Disneyland in June and since that was such a sleeping disaster I was really nervous.  We also weaned Brett off his last feeding last week which meant I couldn't even nurse him to sleep in bed with us.  (He did a great job at weaning by the way and is getting better at staying asleep with no interruptions for 11-12 hours, this last feeding was by far the hardest and saddest for him to cut out) We put him to bed at 8 ish, then snuck in around 10.  He slept straight till 6:30, I don't think he realized we were there until he heard and saw me get up at 6:30 to get in the shower.  Poor Sean even refrained from going to the bathroom in the middle of the night for fear of waking Brett=)  Haha the funny things we do for kids.  On Sunday morning Brett wore his new church outfit including a tie!  He and Grandpa made up a game where you pull the straw out of the cup and say "pop" and laugh hysterically.

Brett loves his laptop from Aunt Sam and he's also enjoying being front facing.
Brett also took his first step on Sunday!  It was just one step from me to Grandpa and he hasn't done it since, but at least he's made it that far.  We were so glad Eric and Natalie were able to come visit.  They are a really fun couple, hopefully we'll get to see them again soon=)

  1. So many fun activities summed up nicely, Jennie! We did enjoy the food and each other all weekend. It was great to meet Natalie and spend time together. Brett is always fun to watch and play with. Love, mom p
