Packing Up

Sean finished medical school this week! Can you believe it? We are really excited about it! I think I mentioned before that he was working on the Transitions block to help the second year students prepare for 3rd year. He organized a family panel last Tuesday where some of the families from 4th year came and answered questions for those families entering 3rd year. It was fun to buy the food for it, attend together as a family, and visit with many people who are embarking on the same journey as us. Its also always so fun to meet Sean’s colleagues. We are now just preparing to move. We’ve been packing for several weeks, nice and slow. We are getting down to the home stretch now, especially since we are spending lots of time at Sean’s parents house in White Rock. 

Brett and Alana have been having lots of fun doing playdates with friends, visiting our favorite Albuquerque parks and play places, and growing like weeds! We’ve also been watching a new friend named Michael a few days a week. He’s a few months younger than Alana and is so sweet and cute! We went swimming the Friday before last and both kids were so brave. It was a great indoor kid style pool. We had so much fun and will try to go back at least once more before we move. Alana has been showing off her grumpy stubborn attitude the last few days. Its nice to know that kids all go through stages =) She is still very funny and snuggly and sweet. Brett has been trying really really hard to be nice and have good manners. He’s been doing a lot better than a few weeks ago. I’m really proud of both of them for how they are handling all the changes in our lives right now.

I have been hosting Playgroup most Fridays for awhile now, this was the very last one and was a big hit!

A new obsession of ours is the My Cupcake Addiction videos on youtube.  Brett especially loves them.  We were inspired to make a cookie pizza.

Brett and Alana have been great helpers with packing.  They loved taking the clings off their walls today.
