2015
This year has been very eventful for our family! Jennie and the kids spent January playing in Albuquerque, while Sean did a MICU rotation at UNM. February brought ear infections for both kids and a fun Valentines celebration. March brought Match Day where we found out where we were headed for Residency. Sean and I were both surprised and thrilled to find out we would be moving to Salt Lake City. We took a quick trip up to Utah to look for housing and were very disappointed in what we could afford. After much thought and prayer we decided to live with Mom and Dad Z for a year or so. April brought lots and lots of packing while Sean helped with the Transitions block at UNM. We celebrated Easter and played with lots of friends. In May we attended a Native American Feast Day with some dear friends and enjoyed our last tastes of Albuquerque living. Mom and Dad Z and Brian came to town to help celebrate Sean’s graduation from Medical School. We attended graduation on the morning of May 8, packed our truck and checked out of our apartment that afternoon, and drove to Utah on May 9 (while celebrating our 6th anniversary). The rest of May and June was spent working on moving in and finishing the basement at Mom and Dad Z’s house. We took a trip to Boise to visit the Browns and see Lindsey Stirling in concert. We took lots of hikes and Sean started orientation at St Mark’s Hospital. Sean started Residency with an OB rotation in July. We celebrated Independence Day and made lots of new friends. In August we celebrated Brett’s 4th birthday Paw Patrol style and visited the Aquarium. In September Brett started preschool 3 mornings a week. Alana and Jennie have found the one on one time to be lots of fun! We also found out that we are expecting a new baby next April! Sean and Jennie took their first overnight stay away from the kids at a residency retreat at Snowbird. We had fun watching the weather change and our pumpkins grow as Fall approached. We took a trip to New Mexico in October and had a great time visiting with Mom and Dad P. Brett dressed as Luke Skywalker for Halloween and Alana was the cutest little puppy! In November we celebrated Alana’s 2nd birthday with hats and cake and lots of presents! We also found our Baby #3 is a GIRL! In December we traveled to Southern California to visit Disneyland. What a wonderful trip! We feel so blessed this year, as we do every year for the wonderful gift of our Savior and the promise of Eternal Families.
