March

Brett was celebrating Dr. Seuss week at school and found all the Dr. Seuss type books at our house to read. He read us one for bedtime one night!
Alana was happy to listen in her snuggly bed
The girls and I have fun window shopping for the new house where ever we go. Here we are at Costco eyeing the sheds =)
One Friday after school we met Grandpa at the Aquarium for his birthday. My dad really wanted to see the sloths and our membership was about to expire so we met him and had a great time looking at all the animals. It was the best day ever for petting the rays which was perfect because rays are my dad's favorite! We saw lots of animals, played on the playground, then got a treat before leaving.

My sister was supposed to be in town that night for a baptism, but ended up not coming because of weather. We had planned a dinner and still had it even though she couldn't come =( The girls fell fast asleep after the aquarium on the way to my parents house.

One Sunday it snowed and snowed and snowed. The Elder quorum spent tons of time outside during our block trying to keep the walks clear. After church, we watched Coco and really enjoyed it, then as we were sitting down to dinner, Brett looked at me with a quivering voice and asked if I would ever play in the snow with them again. It is true that I don't love snow, but that little quiver had me horking down my dinner so we could get bundled up and build a snowman before the sun went down.

 Sean built a Flat Stanley.
Lizzie's favorite book is Wheels on the Bus =)
The best part of the papers Brett brings home from school are the backs! I love his imagination!
Mom and Dad P were getting new flooring throughout their upstairs and we went down one Saturday to help them move out furniture and get things ready. Mom P and I were looking up different furniture ideas while talking about the girls new bedrooms and Sean thought it was so funny to see us both on our phones. After we finished with the moving stuff, we went to see Early Man in the theaters. We all enjoyed it a lot. Then we went back to the house for some pizza and ice cream. Neil, Rebecca, Kaden, and Lexi came to play in the evening too!
It has snowed more in March than in the whole winter combined this year!
Another Saturday we went out to my parents house to help them rip out the shower and tub and vanity in their bathroom. Sean was pretty tired after all that demolition!
After the demolition we came home and took down our trampoline and tried to clean off the back patio a bit, then we went to Walmart to buy the kids new bikes. Then we came home to a super messy house. We had a picnic dinner of leftovers and random things in front of Cars 3.

We have had lots of fun on the sunny days in between all the snow this month riding our new bikes! This was the first non hand me down bike and helmet Alana has gotten and it was so fun to watch her pick and to see her thrive on the bigger bike, her trike was just too small!

Lizzie's nap strike continued through the first week or so of March, she would randomly fall asleep in different places.
The kids have been at each others throats again lately and one night we just needed to get out of the house so we went to the library. It was a really nice change of scenery and Brett loved looking through all the chapter books!
One night we watched Frozen and did pedicures.
Brett school sponsored a fun run this year again. Brett got 4 pledges and was really excited to run and show how much he has been practicing! Alana and Lizzie came to watch with me and did a great job until the very end. It was pretty cold and they got tired of waiting. We were there for an hour. Brett ran for nearly 45 minutes and did 64 laps!

He was really proud of himself and had some sore legs to show for all his hard work!
 Alana loves to draw unicorns!
These birds are so fun, the one that is flying has a ponytail!
Lizzie loves going on bike rides too!
Lizzie still hasn't been a fan of staying in nursery by herself so Sean and I stay with her. We trade off so one of us can go to Sunday School and one of us can go to Priesthood/RS. Its fun to see the little kiddos playing together!
We set up a bunch of moving boxes and the kids have been making forks. Mom and Dad P saved all their boxes and we feel so grateful!
Sean and the kids made some delicious dessert the other Sunday. Cake with cookie dough and frosting.
Alana has been taking tumbling classes for the past 13 weeks. She has worked really hard to improve her skills. They had a little showcase to show us what they had learned at the end. She was so excited to have Daddy and Papa and Mimi come. She did a great job!
 Lizzie was a wonderful supporter!
 They all got medals

We bought her a yellow flower!
Alana's birds in a nest painting from preschool.
Alana fell asleep twice last week. I'm excited for her to start sharing a room with Lizzie because I think we will be able to get her to bed earlier which I think she needs.
Last Friday we went to my friend Mikey's house to play with her kids. We had a great time and even got to try on some PJ Mask costumes!

Alana got a scratch on her elbow and wanted to see what the bandaid looked like so we took a picture.
This past Saturday was really nice, we took it easy. Around 11 Brett asked if we could go to the Library and so we went over to get new books and play on the toys there. We had lunch then the kids played with neighbors and helped Sean vaccuum the car while I took a nap. It was so relaxing to not be running around. Around 4 we met my sister and niece and parents over at the new house to show Sam and Kaity. It is Kaitlyns Spring break so they came up for several days. We had some dinner then went to my parents to let the kids play.
We went out again on Sunday to let the kids all play together, they have such a good time!
Sean got to drive a Tesla that his boss bought and he didn't mind that at all.
Alana and Kaity rocked out to the greatest showman while traveling around on Saturday.
