May in Pictures

The awesome park near our house had a book and bake sale a couple Saturdays ago! We got a huge bag of books and each picked a treat!

We had a BBQ at our house and invited Mom and Dad P, Mom and Dad Z, Aunt Lucille, Neil, Rebecca, Kaden, and Lexi. Our new neighbor Eve also came for dinner and playing.

Lizzie loves trying on other peoples shoes.

We have tried to encourage the kids to eat their snacks in the kitchen instead of the family room since they are so combined now.

Brett practicing his Penguin March for his recital.

Brett class put on a Hungry Caterpillar play which was darling! He played the part of the watermelon

Here's Brett with his teacher Mrs. Pauole and his best friend Carter

Lizzie decided she wanted a big girl bed so we took the rail off her crib, she kept falling out so I bought her a mattress and just layed in on the floor while we figured out the bed situation. We ended up ordering Brett a new bed and then he gave his old one to Lizzie since it matches Alana's really cute.

Another picture from our BBQ

Alana made me a grocery list

Alana learned how to do the fire man pole at the park and has been so proud of herself!

Lizzie learned to do the ladder instead of the stairs and she is really good at it!

They were putting the trusses up on the house behind our house and the girls were fascinated with the trucks!

Brett got to play on this 9 foot Steinway!

Alana has school on Tuesday and Thursday and to save on gas I hang out in Holliday during her preschool time. The last few weeks we have attended toddler and baby story time at the library. Lizzie LOVES what she calls Baby School! Its fun to spend one of one time with her!

Grandma bought these unicorn lights for Alana, Lizzie loves them too!

Brett's new bed

Lizzie's big girl bed!

she is so grown up!

Every night the girls ask for sleepy spray which is just green tea perfume. Their room always smells so good!

Both Brett and Alana have been learning about plants at school. They decided to plant some apple seeds, but were disappointed when the pots got tipped over =(

Sean installed these fast tracks in the garage to hold up yard tools!

The girls and daddy played their own game of soccer at Brett's game last week.

Brett's team dominates whoever they play. Some of the teams have 5-6 year olds and others have 3-4 year olds.

The coaches tried to give the other team a bit of a handycap last week by having Brett's team start defense clear back at the goal.

We hung pictures in our front room and organized the piano music.

We will eventually add more furniture, but for now we are too poor =)

Sean's co-worker Jess has a Cinqo De Mayo party last Saturday and it was so much fun! We ate delicious food, drank Mexican soda, did a pinata, and visited with lots of friends.

There is no filter on this picture, I just let Lizzie play with my phone and she slimed it pretty good!

Another day at the park =)

My mom decided she wanted to do a Star Wars themed dinner so they had us over for porg and yoda burgers

porg potatoes

it was a lot of fun!

Sean and I celebrated our 9th anniersary! We went to a Chinese restaurant called Joy Luck.

We ordered two meals and they brought us 6 plates of food! We actually made a pretty good dent in all that food!

Then we went and saw Tuck Everlasting at the Hale Center Theater. It was a really great play and we had front row seats! Special thanks to Mom and Dad P for babysitting our children who all got very muddy while we were gone!

Yesterday Sean and I went to Lowes to buy some stuff for a garden. We got two garden boxes, tons of soil, two big pots with strawberries to go in them and a raspberry bush. We will have to figure out the drip system soon. Next summer we can get some grass =)

The kids helped spread the dirt and plant tomatoes, zucchini, pumpkins, peppers, lettuce, carrots, sunflowers and some other star shaped flowers.
