August, School Starts, Brett had a birthday

We went to the Gateway Children's Museum the week before school started for Brett and we had so much fun! We could have spent a lot longer there with all the fun activities and games!
We built Lego cars and raced them:
We made coral reefs out of play dough, pipe cleaner, and painted noodles:

We went down slides, practiced yoga, walked on stilts, and played ball:
We played with in the mini hospital and practiced flying the helicopter:

We visited the farm, moved some hay, and fed the horse:

Another fun before school starts activity was hiking up to a really beautiful waterfall with our neighbors:

Our neighbors also threw a fun Birthday party for their youngest and invited us. Graham's birthday is December 24th, so they did a summer party. It was a perfect last hurrah to summer! Watermelon, water fights, cake, pizza, swings, trampolines, and a pinata!

One Saturday morning we all sat down to watch Sean defeat Ganon on the Zelda game that has been captivating us all summer.

We went and toured the new elementary at Back to School Night. The school is beautiful and huge! Alana was excited about the Kindergarten playground:
 Brett looked right at home:
Brett and Alana decided to be Zelda and Link for Halloween, but wanted their costumes early so they could wear them to Brett's birthday party.

Bathsalts make the tub so much fun!
Brett started school and was really excited about it. His teacher is Mr. Gwilliam and seems fantastic!

Brett had school on his birthday, but after school we opened presents. The girls each gave him a dinosaur egg. Sean and I gave him the womping willow Harry Potter lego set and a Mario Kart Monopoly game.

He also got cards, a book from Aunt Sam, Origami from Papa and Mimi, and a card with $8 from Brandon and Michals family!
We went to dinner at Pizza Pie Cafe and Grandma and Grandpa gave Brett another ninjago lego set and an Alexa for his bedroom!
Lizzie helped me make some brownies in preparation for Brett's birthday party:
Lizzie was invited to a Monster themed birthday party and she and I had so much fun going together:

The Saturday after Brett's birthday we had a party here for him and his friends. We did a Breath of the Wild game. The kids first went to the Shrine of Resurrection where they decorated swords and shields. Then we went to a Hun Ger trial where they made some delicious skewers, then we went to the Ene Mee Trial where they defeated all kinds of bad guys with archery and jumped on balloon bad guys, then they had a Korok seed hunt in the basement, then they defeated Ganon with water balloons, then Princess Zelda came out with a Treasure Chest full of cold drinks. We had cupcakes and opened presents and then Brett wanted to defeat Ganon while all his friends watched. I was pretty impressed that he was able to. He was in heaven! After the party was over and all the friends went home, we had hamburgers with Papa and Mimi =)

We have been enjoying all the yummy food from our garden!

We've also been enjoying the Dog Man books!
Lizzie had her first day of preschool and she loved it!!
Alana actually didn't start until after Lizzie so Alana and I had a fun date to the aquarium!

Brett's been trying some new practicing techniques:
The girls and I went to the zoo the day before kindergarten started:
Alana loved her first day of kindergarten and she was so brave!

 Lizzie's first day pictures:

We took Brett's baptism pictures! Don't worry I am getting him a longer tie!

We started a new pattern at work called the Mirror Strip and I really love it. I've made it like 4 weeks in a row now!

All three of my kids went to school and I cried!
 Red carpet treatment for Alana
Lizzie took two naps this past week, poor girl is all tired out from school!
