Summer fun!

We have been super busy having fun this summer! Alana finally learned to swallow a pill this past week and we are so so proud of her! She got $100 (which was actually like $85) because that's what the two things she picked added up to. She picked a baby alive doll and an american girl doll jeep. She is in heaven and also super proud of herself. 

Lizzie is getting really excited for Kindergarten and has started asking how many days till she gets to start. She got to pick out her backpack the other night and was so excited about it! Brett picked a new backpack and lunch box and Alana picked a lunch box (she got a new backpack for Christmas)

Alana was so proud of how she did Lizzie's hair one day =) 

My mom gave us a hammock so we bought a stand for it.

Sean and I went to the Residency graduation at Solitude. It was such a nice date night. A beautiful drive up the canyon, yummy food and fun times catching up with old friends. 

Sean FINALLY finished at Foothill. He gave 3 months notice and it was really hard to continue on after quitting. But he is all done. He went to Granger and saw his new office and rooms. His office is big and private (he might need to share later on). 

Our Temple opened for proxy work by appointment and I got an appointment for sealing. We left Brett to babysit for the first time and he did a great job. Sean looked up the laws for ages when kids can be left home alone and there is no age in Utah. We felt like Brett is mature enough to do it and felt good about leaving him for two hours on an afternoon when we knew our neighbors were there "just in case". The temple was heavenly. It felt so good to be there together. The sealer was my jr high school shop teacher Mr. Watts and it was fun to see him. He was an amazing sealer too and I so enjoyed listing to his testimony ring through as he said the words to the sealings. 

Brett lost two teeth in one day. It was a crazy day. We started with a fun local horse camp, then came home to have lunch where Alana surprised us all by swallowing her pill, then Sean and I went to the Temple while Brett babysat, then we had dinner and went to Target to get prizes for Alana and backpacks for Brett and Lizzie, then Brett pulled one tooth out on the way home, then another out while sitting on the couch reading that night. 

Our little community does a breakfast and bike parade on the fourth of july. This year we went for the breakfast and the girls go to tour the fire truck. We had to leave before the parade because we had to get to our second day of horse camp. 

Alana's jeep came with a surf board on top and she wanted to get a picture to send to Grandma.

The day after Brett lost 2 teeth he pulled out another! Here is tooth #3

We were invited to celebrate Kari's birthday with them this year and it was such a joy! We really love the Ellis family!

Lizzie is doing great in Karate. She was learning her front stances here and how you have to step like on a railroad instead of a balance beam. 

Brett earned his brown belt. He worked really hard for this one! Its so fun to watch him progress and start to help teach the younger students. 

We've had lots of fun with our pool in the backyard.

I made this blanket for work and really liked it.

Oreo likes water days too.

The kids and I all got colds and mine was pretty bad. I spent a lot of time snuggling on the couch and Oreo liked to join me. Mine was an ear infection too and I was grateful for Sean being able to check my ear and call in a perscription. 

We had a spontaneous pizza movie night with the Ellis family and Nick and Kari got in a food fight.

We had a fun fathers day. We got Sean some nintendo socks, a dadalorian shirt, and a game called gingerbread house. Lizzie also made him a dragon balloon out of paper and Alana painted a wooden penguin for him. 

We attended the Ashton Gardens with Rebecca, Kaden and Alexis. They have a lego exhibit right now which was really fun to see. Brett's allergies acted up though and so it was a bit hard. We walked a ton and everyone was tired. We bought popsicles at the end. 

We walked through the Christ statues there and they were breathtaking! There was a cool little first vision exhibit too. 

We took Papa and Mimi to Red Robin one Saturday for lunch. 

Sean taught us all how to do headstands.

The kids have had a lot of fun with legos bricks this summer.

Foothill sent a plant for Sean's last day. Its very pretty. 

Horse camp was so fun! The kids learned to brush, saddle, mount, dismount, walk, and trot. They got to try barrel racing. They went on a trail ride, painted the horse with finger paints, then gave him a bath.

Fourth of July fell on a Sunday this year. On Saturday after our breakfast and horse camp, we went to Mom and Dad Z's for some fun water play, lego master watching, brisket and s'mores. Uncle Dale was in town and ended up joining us. 

On Sunday we went to church then in the evening we went to Neil and Rebecca's for another BBQ. Lizzie had so much fun playing with their little roller coaster. 

Lexi played violin for us.
