Alana decided to get her ears pierced. I made an appointment for a day when there was no school. Brett was off skiing with his friend for the day so the girls and I went to lunch at Village Baker and then went to The Piercing Place. Its a cute little piercing salon really close to our house and I was super impressed with how professional and family friendly it was! They pierced her ears with single use hollow needles and the lady who did it was so so nice and walked Alana through everything! She has been so happy with the piercing, but needs to wait till July til she can start switching out her earrings.
Here's the girls at Village Baker.
Brett needed a haircut, he is looking so grown up and handsome!
Oreo really knows how to sack out on the couch!
Sean took Alana and Brett skiing at Brighton and they had a great time!
Cookie in the baby carrier:
After Sean took Brett and Alana skiing, Lizzie decided she was finally ready to try skiing! It worked out nicely because Bretts skis were too small and Alana's were snug too. So we passed them all down and traded in some of the smaller ones that don't fit anyone to get Brett some new ones. Lizzie got a helmet and poles and she was set to go! Sean and Alana took her to Sunnyside and they had a blast. Lizzie wasn't able to ski on her own yet, but she did great with Sean holding her waist. Alana turns 12 this year so we were able to take her to do baptisms at the temple for her first time. We got up early and let Lizzie sleep. It was so special to be in the temple together!
It finally snowed enough to build a snowman and the kids were so excited. It melted super fast, but it was fun while it lasted!
