As May 9th gets closer and closer, we get busier and busier. I moved all my stuff home a couple weeks ago and when Sean finished all his finals, he moved to his uncles and all his stuff moved to my parents as well. The front room was a jungle of boxes and clothes with gifts from the shower mingled in as well. My parents were so sweet and understanding even thought we have taken over half their house.
On Monday we got the keys to our new apartment so we made a trip down with the car full of stuff. We moved it all in and the beautiful piano was delivered shortly after. Then Sean got his "wedding" haircut because we were in the reccomended two week time frame according to all the planning magazines and such.
On Tuesday we went to the state office where we got a beautiful marriage license, which only cost us $50. Then we went to the DMV so Sean could get a Utah drivers license, of course they were poop-heads and told us we needed letters addressed to Sean in Utah and his social security card. We decided we will go back after we are married so we can both get new ones together.
Wednesday brought all kinds of joyful moving experiences! They told us they were delivering the mattress at eight and Sean wanted to volunteer at the State Hospital so we left West/South Jordan at seven thirtyish. As soon as we got to the apartment we unloaded the truck again and Sean ran off to help the patients do their exercises. I spent the morning washing dishes and figuring out where to put things. When Sean got back we put all the dishes away then went to get lunch at the cafeteria. When we got back, they finally came with the mattress. We moved it around trying to figure out the best place then ran off to the Belmont to retrieve a book shelf and TV. I helped Sean move the TV down the stairs, holy cow it was heavy!!! You may be thinking this is a full day and it's time for bed, well it just kept going. We hopped back in the car and drove the hour back to West Jordan to meet Bishop Hampton at my parents house with his trailer. He helped us move all our furniture out onto the trailer and drove with us back to Provo. Bishop had meeting so Sean and I were left with all the furniture to get into the apartment. Our wonderful neighbor Mark came to help and when an evil entertainment center crushed Sean's hand, our other neighbor Devin came to help. We got all the furniture in and ran to papa murphys to get a pizza. We had our first meal in our apartment including the valencia juice from Megan and Scott Bowen (the apartments former tenants). Then we got to spend the rest of the evening putting books away and unpacking boxes. It was so fun!!!! Then with extraordianarily exhausted bodies we got in the car to return triumphantly to West Jordan.
Today has brought a joyous event called Crisis Intervention Prevention training at West Ridge. There was a pretty good lunch, I got to throw Sean on the ground:) and we got to see Bethany. Other than that it was pretty long and we have another full day tomorrow where we get to learn restaints.
We are super busy and having a lot of fun. 9 days left!!!
Pictures to come of all our adventures and our cute apartment soon...
