We moved!

Two weeks ago we moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico so Sean can go to Medical School! Med school starts with a two-week orientation and public health class which begins next Monday. We love our new apartment and feel about a thousand times safer here than we did in our cute duplex in Provo. We have a two bedroom, two bath apartment with a big kitchen living/dining area and TONS of storage. I think 6 years of living in Provo has really made me appreciate things like newly painted walls and carpet that looks and feels younger than me. We have been working like crazy this past week trying to get everything set up. IMG_0803-2011-07-11-10-52.JPG

So you just put all the stuff in the crib and then put the baby on top and he will take care of himself, right? (Brett’s room looks a lot better than this now!)

We were so grateful to so many people for helping us move! Mom and Dad Z were fantastic to let us store all our junk in their garage for a month and then help us load and unload the trailer. Mom and Dad P drove up from New Mexico, helped us pack up the trailer and drove the trailer the entire way to New Mexico, then proceeded to help us unpack and put furniture together for 3 days. Wonderful home teachers and elder’s quorum volunteers helped us in West Jordan, White Rock, and Albuquerque.

We also had our first appointment with our new doctor down here. He is wonderful and Sean and I both like him quite a bit more than the doc we were seeing in Provo. He is very kind, informative, and knowledgable. He said everything is looking great with baby Brett. His head is down and he is measuring perfectly for 33 weeks. We will deliver at a hospital about 3 min up the street from us and if all is going well with the pregnancy Sean gets to “catch” the baby when he comes out. Sean has been telling Brett what days would be most convenient for his school schedule. I think Brett is probably just laughing.

  2. Everything looks GREAT! Wish we could find something like that in PROVO!

And tell Sean to keep telling Brett which days work. That's what I kept telling Gwenivere and although it wasn't exactly the 3 day weekend I had in mind, she still came on a 3 day weekend!

  3. What a cute place! I'm sure you will love it! It's so much bigger and nicer than both the most recent apartment and cottage! Although, Cottage was pretty fun, you have to admit :)

  5. Yay for you being ten hours closer now!! But too bad you're still eleven hours away. :)

Isn't it great being out of Provo apartments? That was one of my top three favorite things about leaving Utah. Yours looks really great! I am jealous of your ability to actually unpack and get things on the wall... That is my worst thing.

  6. Thanks so much everyone! I am pretty sure the quickness of unpacking and hanging pictures is due to Sean. His determination rubs off on me rather than my laziness on him=)
