Match Day

The big news is that we are officially moving! Sean matched (aka got a job) at St Marks Family Medicine Residency in Salt Lake City and we are thrilled! Match Day was a really fun event! My friend Sara watched our kids for us and Mom and Dad P came down to attend the breakfast with us. Matching is a huge deal for medical schools. They had a nice breakfast and program. Sean and I were both so so nervous! At 11:00 they let us open our envelopes. Every school across the country opens their envelopes at 1:00 eastern time, so that was 11 in Albuquerque. Sean went up and got his bag and came sauntering back. He opened his envelope and his first reaction was that I wouldn’t know which residency the paper said. He had forgotten to tell me that St. Marks is listed as Utah Health Systems. 3 of our ranked schools were in Utah so he was right, I didn’t know =)

They had maps with all the states and pics of all the students. After everyone knew where they were going they would put there picture on the map where they would be working.
