Paw Patrol Birthday Party

I am always up for a party especially if its for celebrating one of my favorite kiddos =) We decided to do a Paw Patrol themed party this year since Brett and Alana have both been obsessed with dogs and puppies for a long time and with Paw Patrol in particular for the last several months. We decided to do the party the night before his birthday since there was a wedding in the family on his actual b-day. The kids helped me decorate on the morning of the party and everyone came home early from work to help out with the party. We actually didn’t have that much to do, but everyone had fun playing and visiting. I don’t profess to be a Pinterest mom, but I do like to do cute themes. It was fun to google ideas and then put together some fun food and games. The menu included dogs in a blanket, bone shaped ham and cheese sandwiches, fruit, veggies, chips, dips, and bone shaped cookies. Brett and Alana also helped me make some really extraordinary kit kat cakes (something Brett has been requesting for months!) Here is the platter of the dog shaped bread (I never photographed the cheese and meat):

Brett’s cake looked so cute, he did the declaration entirely by himself except for the ribbon:

My cake looked okay too =)

Brett and Kaden have loved living closer together, it is so fun to watch them play together!

The swing set was again a huge hit with all the kids!

All the kids decided to eat their dinner in the tree house =)

The game that Brett was most excited for was the dog eating contest. I bought dog bowls and the kids had to eat their cookie bone with no hands. Kirsten was the very best, but Brett was a close second. I think Kaden would have been a better contender but he wasn’t a fan of the shortbread:

Everyone enjoyed watching the festivities:

Alana would rope any one she could convince into helping her swing:

Pin the Badge on Chase was the next game. The older kids let me cover their eyes but the younger kids wouldn’t. Papa P made the fantastic Chase for us to use =)

The last game was Freeze Dance. It was a huge hit!

His favorite gift was a Paw Patrol bowling game. He said we will never have to go bowling again =)
