Fall Break: DISNEYLAND

One of the first things I thought of when Alana broke her arm and it was clear she she wasn't going to be able to swim was that we had a trip planned to Great Wolf Lodge for Fall Break (one week after she broke her arm) We thought of a few options, one of them being Disneyland. After some research and discussion we decided to just go for it. We were able to switch our flights from Phoenix to LAX, cancel our reservations at GWL, and book a hotel, tickets, and reservations. We couldn't get reservations without doing park hoppers so we sprung for those along with the Genie +. We visited the doctor the day we left to get Alana's arm looked at. Her bone hadn't healed at all, but she was able to get an exo cast that was much more comfortable than the splint.

Lizzie was pretty short on funds for our trip and wanted to earn some extra. Her handwriting needs some practice so she worked really hard on that as well as practiced riding her bike with no training wheels. Lizzie also had a field trip right before we left on vacation. I couldn't go with them and that was sad, but a mom sent me a picture.

Brett finally ordered his Halloween costume and was a lego yoda.
For our Trunk or Treat he was a lizard youtuber since his other costume hadn't come yet.
Alana was a fox
Lizzie was a mermaid:

Sean and the kids had fun decorating our trunk:
The kids played one of their all time favorite games:Eat slugs on the first day of fall break:
Sean trimmed Kiwi's nails:
Brett had a horrible reaction to his dumb allergy shots. We have been going every week for probably 9 months and they have gotten pretty painful and itchy. After this reaction they finally locked him into a dose and we can go once a month instead of weekly.
We visited the orthodontist on the second day of fall break and Alana showed them her wiggly tooth. they tried to take the bracket off but it was stuck pretty good, so they just didn't attach it into the wire. She lost it later that night and the tooth fairy came and commented on how she got some bonus money because her tooth had a tiara.

Here's the new cast:
I got to take some fall photos for Brian and Jill:
After we got Alana's new cast, we ran to the library and the reptile store to get more crickets. We went home and worked on all our final packing and preparations. I took Oreo to our neighbors house and then we took off for the airport. We arrived nice and early because Sean had a financial meeting with the CEO. We got on the plane with no problems. Got seats together. When we got to LAX at 5:30 we realized it was rush hour. We got two ubers. One for Sean, Brett, Me, and Lizzie and one for my Mom, Dad, and Alana. It was a very long hour drive to the hotel and Brett was fighting some pretty awful car sickness. I was praying so hard he could find relief and Sean felt inspired to do some meditation techniques where he helped Brett target different parts of his body and focus on just that part. It helped and miraculously we made it to the hotel without any vomit.

We got our room and settled in pretty quick. Our hotel was right above a CVS pharmacy which was really nice. It also had a yummy hot breakfast which we all enjoyed.

We arrived nice and early and didn't have to wait in security lines or lines to get into the park. It was pretty amazing! We decided to go straight for the Rise of the Resistance Ride when the ropes dropped.

Our only castle picture, lol!
The ropes dropped and we went to Galaxy's Edge. Rise of the Resistance was down so we went on Smugglers Run. Our ride broke half way through so they let us go again!

We went to Runaway Railroad next:

Then Roger Rabbit:

Then Star Tours:

Then Jungle Cruise

Then to lunch at the new Tiana's Kitchen. The food was delicious and Tiana even came to check and see if we liked the food.

After lunch Sean, Alana, Lizzie, and Mom went back to the hotel to rest and Brett, Dad, and I stayed. We rode Pirates of the Caribbean, then Soarin and Web Slingers.

Sean and the girls came back and we rode Midway Mania then went and did the Mickey's Philharmagic show.

We went back to Disneyland and rode Haunted Mansion, ate dinner, Grandpa and the kids rode Autopia, we all  looked through the Bibbidi Boutique and the girls got pixie dusted. They bought crowns so we could do our own hair styles. Then we rode the Storybook canal boats and called it a night.

We had a fun time keeping track of how many rides we rode each day. Genie+ and park hoppers really helped us!

Cool celebration of life area in California Adventure. We wrote memories of Papa.

Goofy's Flight School was a favorite:

We ate Baymax bread in San Fransokyo.
Poor legs were pretty tired by the end of the night.

Lizzie was very brave and tried incredicoaster. It wasn't her favorite. But she loved the cookie num nums.

A cast member gave me an extra turn on Midway Mania. It was better then lightning lane. They literally took us in at the exit and put us right on the ride.

This might be the only picture of all of us =)

Single rider line for Lightning Racers.

These little yogurts were the kids favorite thing to eat
Big Thunder was a favorite!

Mobile ordering gibson girls ice cream is the best!
