Here is a family letter I wrote the week of October 20! We had a fun and busy week. We always think things will calm down and then another busy week comes at us. Sean had a dentist appointment on Monday and taught piano lessons. Sean and Brett found the comet A3 and we all had fun looking at it!
On Wednesday I took the day off and went on Lizzie’s field trip with her. We went to the Leanardo museum in Salt Lake. It was fun to ride the bus and see her with all her friends. We did a cool art project and they got to go down a slide that came out of an airplane. We arrived back to the school just in time for me to go teach, but I took the day off since I couldn’t be sure we’d arrive in time. I went home, took a nap, and then Sean and I went to Costco to look for some new luggage and some dress slacks for him. We found tons of great options and even found a new pair for Sundays for under $5! The luggage looked great but we needed two big bags rather than a big and small so we ended up ordering new ones from Amazon. We stocked up on toilet paper, tissues, and paper towels. Brett played Katake for young mens (an intense version of dodgball), and Alana was invited to do ghost art with the young women. Lizzie and our neighbor Graham did some fun stained glass art with Sean and I for our “Little Siblings Club”. Sean and I had a visit from the Stake Young Men’s president high counselor. I was called to be a co-chair for the food for our Stake Trek this coming summer. I will have a partner to help figure out feeding 200 people in the middle of the wilderness in Wyoming. Sean was called to be a part of the medical staff.
Thursday was a fairly normal day at work and school. Sean and I did have a meeting with some missionaries over Trek to help get planning. It was pretty overwhelming and I am wondering what we got ourselves into. I don’t have a great testimony of Trek so I am praying I can develop one. We are both happy to serve the youth though and are excited to get to go with Brett!
Friday afternoon the kids and I met Rebecca, Kaden and Lexi at Kidstopia. Its always fun to watch the kiddos run around and play! We went home and had some pizza and then cousin Heather and her husband Cory came for dessert. They brought Lilia, Divia, and Benjamin. The kids all hit it off right away and had a great time playing werewolf, laughing, playing hide and seek, and something else outside. They all stayed til 10:30 and we had a great time visiting!
Saturday we slept in a little, cleaned and did yard work, took Brett to the Temple to do baptisms, went to quench it to get some drinks, and started packing for our trip. Sean also helped Mom with her computer a bit and then we watched Xander and Lucy while Brian and Jill went to an outdoor showing of Knives Out. We watched Trolls 3 with Xander and Lucy!
Today Sean played Organ, taught Sunday School, and led choir practice. We are having a chill evening and plan to watch The Wild Robot tonight. We are all looking forward to our Disneyland Trip this week!
Love you all!
