Disneyland!!!!

After our trip last October, I have been wanting to go back to Disneyland. We started planning the trip over the summer and it was so fun to plan and prepare. We went with Mom and Dad Z and Mom P. We found a room at the Raffles Inn (where we have stayed before) that slept 8 and had a yummy hot breakfast. The room had a room with two queen beds and a bathroom and then a separate room with bunkbeds, a foldout sofa, and another bathroom. All the grandparents took the queen bed room and Brett took the top bunk. The girls shared the bottom bunk and Sean and I took the fold out sofa.

We flew out Monday evening and arrived in our hotel just in time to collect a walmart grocery delivery, unpack, and get to bed.

On Tuesday we went to Disneyland first! We tried taking the city bus, but that ended up being a bit frustrating. We took the city bus that morning and then every other time we just walked 6 minutes to the Toy Story parking lot and took those busses. It was actually really nice because they had security at the parking lot and then dropped us off past the security so we didn't have to wait in the line at the parks.
Here's our list of rides for Tuesday:

Sean’s watch 27000 steps

Alana saw the way the sun was coming through some trees and sprinklers. It was so pretty!
The cast members do such cute random things:

I tried taking a picture of the girls sleeping on the bottom bunk, but it wasn't very clear.

We all laughed at Sean as he made a egg, sausage, pancake sandwich for breakfast.
Waiting for the bus to come

Our first ride was incredicoaster and it was Alana and Brett's first time. They both loved it!

We had a fun little handheld simon game the kids liked to play in line. They also liked using our phones to play squiggle drop.

We had fun drawing Randal in the animators academy.

Lizzie found this cute slap bracelet fox that she and Alana bought.
I went on the swings with Brett and Lizzie while Alana went on Guardians with Grandpa and Sean.

We ate at the boardwalk pizza and pasta and there was a mexican grill there too.

After lunch we went and did single rider for Radiator Springs Racers. Such a fun ride!
Then we did Mater:

Then over to Space Mountain:

I ran into one of my students from last year in the Star Trader. I love Oliver and it was so fun to see him in Disneyland!!
We were trying to figure out where to eat for dinner and decided to go back to the San Fransokyo area. The menu didn't look so good so we got some bread and then went back to Disneyland to get some Bengal BBQ. The mobile order was out for awhile so we went back to Toon Town.
We rode Gadgets Go Coaster and Mickey and Minnie Runaway Railroad.
Lizzie was really tired and disappointed that she didn't get to ride in the front on the go coaster. She spent a lot of time ride piggy back (or dragon ride as Sean insists it be called). We made it up to main street and Sean went to get our bengal BBQ . I bribed Lizzie mostly that she could go buy candy at the candy store while Sean and I ate our kebobs on the curb. She perked up when I told her she could have candy and she walked all the way to the bus with no complaint.
I got an M&M covered rice krispie when we got the kids candy. It was very yummy! We made it back to the hotel and fell asleep very quickly!
Day 3 we started in Disneyland again.

  • Indy
  • Big thunder

  • Monsters after dark
  • Astro blasters.
We decided to just go strait to Rise of the Resistance and wait in line. The wait said 50 min or something but it only took us 20 min! It was a fantastic ride.
We thought that the fox peeking out of Sean's backpack looked like Watson in Brian's backpack.
Riding the teacups

Jungle Cruise. We had a very funny guide this time:

Big Thunder:

Alana bought a porg and Lizzie bought a tiger type thing. They had so much fun playing with their stuffed animals throughout the trip.
We tried the blue milk. It was coconut flavored and pretty good.

Smugglers Run. I think Lizzie was the pilot on this trip and she did great!
Here's our Rise pictures. It is a very immersive ride and the cast members that play the first order people are really good!!

One of the funny things about having a parkhopper and the multipass lightning lane is that you walk a ton more!! We zipped back and  forth between rides and parks a lot! We rode incredicoaster and then went up to Soarin. Alana left her fox and hat on incredicoaster so I ran back to see if I could fine it. I got the hat but not the fox. Then we went back up to Guardians of the Galaxy: Monsters after Dark. Brett and Lizzie decided to try the ride and they both liked it! The monsters after dark version isn't as good as the normal one. But it was still clever.
We went back to Disneyland and had dinner including some Darth by Chocolate. Anytime we bought popcorn for the kids the inhaled it!
Soarin:
The hat!

Darth by Chocolate.

We rode Astroblasters then headed back to the hotel.
Day 4 was Friday so we knew it would be a bit busier. We started in California adventure. We tried to go to Midway Mania and the fire alarm started going off so we couldn't ride that. So we went over to incredicoaster and they were clearing the line on that ride too! Then we tried going up to Luigis and it was broken too. Then we rode Mater's and it broke half way through the first ride and we got to ride it again.

Jennies watch 23000

It was fun to joke that we were breaking the rides as the swings and then Indiana Jones broke on us later in the day too.
Here are the kids on the bus ride home after we stayed for Fantastmic and the fireworks.

We paid for a fantastmic dinner package where they had reserved seating for us in a certain area. When I asked the waiter at our dinner about my mom's scooter, he told us to just come back to the restaurant and they would let us sit on the chairs. They told us to come like ten minutes before the show started!

We went to ride Indiana Jones and it broke in the eye room. They turned on all the lights and we sat there for 15 minutes. Then it finally started again but without music and with the lights on. Then it went back to normal. When we got all the way through they asked if we wanted to ride it again.
After our very expensive fancy lunch/dinner, the kids were hungry for pizza, haha!

Alana tried a freeze dried ice cream sandwich.

We got to do the canoes. It was so fun!!

Our fancy lunch/dinner:

Oswald the Lucky Rabbit:
We drew Sully from Monsters inc at the animatos academy:

It was super foggy Friday morning!
Lizzie was completely asleep for the fireworks!

We had so much fun!! We can't wait to go back!
