Conference, Lizzie's Birthday, and April

 We flew home on conference Saturday. We missed both sessions while we were traveling. We watched the first session (which was a solemn assembly for President Oaks) that evening. Alana missed most of it from babysitting and Lizzie fell asleep and I know I dozed through the second half, haha! Sunday morning was Easter. The kids all slept late and then we looked at our Easter baskets. Alana got a ukelele book, Brett got an astrophotography book, and Lizzie got a drawing book. They also got slinkies, new notebooks, pens, and lots of candy! We made resurrection rolls which were so yummy! We also dyed Easter Eggs, all in between watching Conference sessions. My parents made an Easter dinner and brought it to us. It was delicious! 

They got the carpet in my parent's basement and we went to see how nice it looks! 

Monday was Lizzie's 10th birthday! Sean made her a huge 3-d print castle and we set it up on the table so she could see it first thing before school. 

We had Lizzie's favorite chicken and noodles for dinner and lots of candy and cookies. She got lots more treats including oreo's from Sean and I. We also got her a bike bell and a blank comic book. Alana got her a slime kit and some calico critter furniture. Brett got her a pottery wheel. 

At primary activities that week, they made flower crowns! Lizzie's turned out beautiful! 

We started our butterfly and plant unit in Kindergarten and Sean found these awesome butterflies to print for all the kindergarteners. 

Lizzie wanted to have her birthday party at airborne this year. It was really nice how easy they made it! We made two cakes and brought some carrots and apples to go with the pizza we got there. The kids had fun bouncing and playing, eating pizza and cake, and opening presents. The Artemis 2 was landing that night and so Eli had brought an i-pad and we got to watch as it splashed down in the Pacific Ocean. 

About a week after our Disney World trip Alana discovered this 3-d printed bread face in our cabinet. The Ellis family had hidden it for us to find. It's rather creepy and super hilarious! 

Sean and Mimi and I went to see The Hunchback of Notre Dame at Hale Center and it was phenomenal! They did such a good job. It's such a heavy story, but it is very thought provoking. As we were being seated on row 4 they were asking the people on the first 3 rows if they had oxygen. They were telling them that no one could have oxygen and that they couldn't rest their feet on the bar to the stage. We thought that was random. When the song Hell Fire comes on though, there were huge flames going up 15 feet in the air. It was an incredible effect! 

As we were driving home Alana called to say that Lizzie had lost a tooth and it was still attached to her braces. We came home and later that evening Sean used wire clippers to cut the wire and pull the tooth out. 

The next day she lost another tooth on the bottom so those wires had to be cut too! 

We had a family dinner for Lizzie's birthday the Sunday after Easter. We used the ham bone to make 14 bean soup and rolls. Alana and Lizzie decorated cakes. Lizzie was very spoiled with more calico critter things including a new house from Sean, me and Mimi. 

The heavy metal specialist tooth fairy came and wrote lots of notes and left lots of money! 

Brett had another track meet! He ran the 800 this time. 

Brett went on a two night astrophotogaphy trip with Nick and Eli. They went to southern Utah and saw some super super dark skies. They explored national parks and saw Project Hale Mary during the day. 

While Brett was gone, we took Mimi to dinner at Red Robin and wandered the mall a little bit. 

Oreo has been loving going to the green space behind our house and playing fetch. 

We have two ducks that often hang out in our front yard. We call them Dapper and Daphne. 

We got some new family pictures taken:

Lizzie lost another tooth so Sean had to play orthodontist again. She has another super wiggle tooth so we are hoping it will come out in the next few days before she has an appointment to get the wire back in =) 

Sean got a new fridge for his office! 

We paid off our student loans in the fall. The last bit of debt we had was a loan we took out to help us buy shares into Granger. We were able to pay that off this month too! We are now debt free except for our mortgage which has a super low interest rate! What a miracle!
